Biography

Prof. Zhu received his M.D. from Wannan Medical College in 1993 and Ph.D. from Sun Yat-sen University in 2000. He was Professor at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center in 2005. He serves as a Vice Director of State Key Laboratory of Oncology in South China, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center in 2016. He studied in Georgetown University Lombardi Cancer Center as a visiting scholar in 2000. He received Servier Young investigator prize from Chinese Pharmacological Society in 2002. Prof. Zhu was selected into the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University in 2007. He was then selected into the Program for leading talent of Guangdong in 2017. He is a director of the Committee of Cancer pharmacology in Guangdong Pharmacological Society and one of editorial board members for Chinese Journal of Cancer, Frontier in Pharmacology and Advances in Therapy. His research interest is signal transduction in cancer and targeted anticancer drugs. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed articles in international journals such as Nature Communications, Autophagy, Leukemia, Oncogene, Cancer Research. He has also awarded 9 patents about new anticancer drugs.
